Be Not Insane
8Vast numbers of people have lost their mind today, and do not know it. Insanity is the norm, rational thought and measured actions the exception.
But without recourse to reality it is not possible help the schizophrenic detect that his being Napoleon is an illusion.
It seems as if the curse of Deuteronomy 28:28 is come true in our own day, "The LORD will strike thee with madness and blindness." And so in Psalm 75:5 Scripture says ..
"I said to the madmen,
'Be not insane';
And to the wicked,
"Raise not your pride."
This prophecy is fulfilled in St. Mark 5:15 where the Evangelist writes of the man possessed by legions of demons, "And they came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man, the one who had had the legion, sitting there, clothed and in his right mind ..."
So hear this this mighty, divine Word which delivers what it says, "Be not insane." But sit at Jesus feet, dressed in your baptismal righteousness, and in your right mind like the demoniac, now made whole and set free by Jesus.

But here is a little known story that will set you free. Once Harry Houdini the great magician was challenged to break out of a new jail that its creators said was escape-proof. Houdini entered and for 72 hours did all the magic he knew. At the end of that time, in exhaustion, he fell against the door, and it opened. s
It was never locked.
This door is not locked either, unless you submit to it. But keep in mind you are contributing to the madness if you remain therein. People need to be physically close to one another, see one another's faces, and not be afraid of every other person as if each neighbor is Typhoid Mary. If you think its a good work to wear a mask to protect others; it is equally a good work to take it off to save them from mental illness; and a slow pining death from loneliness; from which the entire country is presently suffering because of its enslavement.
If you are sick, or fear you will make others sick, then stay home, and wear your mask in the house.
The damage done by the over-reaction of gov, media, medicine and yes ... ecclesiastical leader by closing or greatly restricting worship (till it is hardly recognizable as Christian Worship) has caused greater illness, death, poverty, hopelessness, suicide, economic destruction and spiritual death of hungry souls, than any flu virus ever could.
Some churches have gotten into bed with social police. I see church signs such as: Thou shalt wear a mask.. Another: Take up your cross and wear your mask.
I say that true love for the neighbor is to: set the prisoners free, proclaim liberty for the captives. (Is.61:1)
If you are sick, or fear getting sick, or of spreading illness, stay home; but don't expect the rest of the world to cater to your opinions.
