As stated in my previous post I don't normally comment on what other religions are doing. But because many of our friends and relatives, formerly members of the LCMS, are now members of the ELCA, I think you should know what is going on.

Also, because we share the Lutheran family name there is bound to be confusion among many, both inside and outside of our church body.

Let it be known to all LCMS Lutherans that our church upholds the Biblical teaching of sexual morality. Namely that sexual imtimacy is reserved for marriage alone between one man and one woman. All other uses of this sacred gift is sinful, and as such repentance and absolution are required by those who have transgressed.

Christ's church must never justify sin, but must continue to call sinners to repentance, and reconciliation to God through Christ.
